Century Old All Mahogany Vintage Classic, Professionally Serviced and restored at the Martin Guitar factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

This is a true, 100 year old, 1926 Martin 2 17 guitar.  It is a rare surviving example from the golden era of American guitar building. With all the natural aging and tone that comes with it, the all mahogany construction delivers a dry, woody, immediately responsive voice that only a real pre-war Martin can produce.

This guitar was recently sent directly to C.F. Martin and Co. for full professional service and restoration work to ensure long term playability and stability.

• Fingerboard PLEKd for optimal fret accuracy and action

The result is a century old instrument that now plays cleanly and comfortably while preserving the unmistakable tone that only time can create.  The expressiveness of the old Mahogany stands in a class of its own.  I resonating tone that is clear as day comes out of this guitar when it is played.

Condition

As expected for a hundred year-old guitar, cosmetic wear is present throughout including finish checking, small scratches, and patina. These signs reflect honest age rather than neglect and add to its authenticity. Structurally, the guitar is solid and fully sorted after its factory service.  It will play on for many years to come.
