Bourgeois Custom Large soundhole OM
This is a truly one of a kind Bourgeois OM. Built as a singular instrument rather than a repeatable or cataloged model. Every detail was selected to create a guitar with exceptional responsiveness, depth, and long term character, resulting in an instrument that cannot be replicated.
The aged tone Adirondack spruce top paired with torrefied aged tone bracing delivers an immediately open, and broken-in voice with remarkable headroom. The sound is clear and powerful with a fast attack, rich fundamentals, and complex overtones that continue to develop as the guitar is played. It responds effortlessly to a light touch while retaining authority when driven harder.
Macassar ebony back and sides add visual drama and sonic clarity, contributing a focused low end, strong note separation, and a piano like quality across the register. The large soundhole enhances projection and immediacy, giving the guitar a lively and present feel that translates beautifully in both solo and ensemble settings.
Traditional animal protein glue construction and an aged tone finish reflect Bourgeois’ commitment to vintage inspired building methods, while the satin neck and headstock provide a smooth and comfortable playing experience. The clean peghead with no front logo and the Dana Bourgeois signature label on the back further emphasize the bespoke nature of this instrument.
There is only one guitar built to these exact specifications. Once sold, this configuration will not exist again.
