1981 Gibson ES-175

For sale is a beautiful 1981 Gibson ES-175D, a classic full-size archtop electric from Gibson’s Norlin-era production. This guitar has the unmistakable ES-175 look, feel, and tone, with a warm, woody acoustic character and the rich, articulate sound these guitars are known for.

The guitar is in very good overall condition for its age, showing normal cosmetic signs of use consistent with a well-cared-for instrument. The finish has some light play wear and age-related marks, but nothing that detracts from its appearance or character. The neck feels comfortable and the guitar plays well.

The ES-175D’s dual humbucker configuration delivers everything from mellow jazz tones to punchier blues and rock sounds, while retaining the distinctive resonance and response of a full hollowbody archtop.
