Martin Custom Shop NCM OM-18 1933 Sinker Adi #2

This is number 2 in our series of this model.  It was done by our very own Bailey including personally selecting the woods at the Martin Guitar factory.  It may look like many other Martin Custom Shop guitars with a sunburst top being produced today, but this is definitley a next-level guitar.  The details details found within make it an instrument that is nothing short of magical.  This guitar was inspired by the OM-18 Authentic 1933 which was built by Martin between 2014 and 2018, based on a 1933 OM-18.  This guitar was designed to deliver true pre-war character with a more player-friendly feel.  It features Sinker Mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top with Authentic thickness with Adirondack spruce bracing.  Bailey personally selected the woods at the Martin Guitar Factory Wood rooom.  This guitar also features a two-way adjustable truss rod.

The hand-selected Adirondack spruce top, paired with sinker mahogany back and sides gives this guitar a dry, woody voice with strong fundamentals, quick response, and excellent clarity. It has that opened up, broken-in character you expect from a great OM, with plenty of headroom and articulation and bass response.

The neck strikes a balance between vintage and modern. A soft modified V profile adds a subtle nod to 1930s Martins, while the high performance taper makes it faster and more comfortable as you go up the neck.

The Adirondack spruce top is thinned down to authentic thickness and is paired with Adirondack spruce Golden Era scalloped bracing.  This guitar responds instantly with that classic pre-war style power and air.
