Martin Custom Shop Sloped Shoulder Dreadnought – Adirondack / Mahogany – Vintage Sunburst

Offered here is a beautifully crafted Martin Custom Shop sloped-shoulder dreadnought inspired by the classic slope-shoulder design made famous by the Gibson J-45, while showcasing Martin’s legendary craftsmanship and tone.

This custom instrument was ordered through New Canaan Music and thoughtfully spec’d to capture the warmth, punch, and vintage character players love in a classic slope-shoulder acoustic.

At the heart of the guitar is a premium Adirondack spruce top paired with forward-shifted hand-shaped Adirondack spruce bracing, giving the instrument incredible headroom, responsiveness, and dynamic range. 

The guitar features a vintage-style sunburst top that transitions into the darker finish of the sides, back, and neck, creating a beautifully uniform and cohesive aesthetic across the entire instrument.

Mahogany back and sides provide the dry, woody warmth and focused midrange that make slope-shoulder guitars so beloved for songwriting, recording, and powerful strumming.

The neck features a comfortable soft Modified V profile with Martin’s High Performance taper, offering a great blend of vintage feel and modern playability. 

Appointments throughout the guitar were designed to mimic the look and feel of a classic Gibson J-45, while still retaining Martin’s unmistakable tone and craftsmanship.

This is a fantastic Custom Shop instrument that blends vintage inspiration with modern Martin performance.
