This handcrafted Martin Custom Shop OM-18 is built with vintage-correct construction and premium
materials, designed to capture the open, immediate voice of early 1930s Martins.
At the heart of the instrument is an Adirondack spruce top built to Authentic thickness with
hand-shaped Golden Era Adirondack bracing, allowing the guitar to move freely and respond
instantly while retaining exceptional headroom. The top is supported by scalloped braces in Martin’s
6-A OM Golden Era pattern with 5/16" primary bracing and 1/4" tone bars, delivering a powerful,
balanced OM voice with remarkable projection.
The body features classic Style-18 appointments with mahogany back and sides, providing warmth,
clarity, and a focused fundamental that pairs beautifully with the dynamic Adirondack top.
Playability is enhanced by a Modified V neck profile with a 1 3/4" nut width and 2 1/4" spacing at the
12th fret, giving the neck a comfortable, vintage-inspired feel without sacrificing modern precision.
The ebony fingerboard, Old Style 18 inlays, and bone nut and long bone saddle complete the
package.
Finished in a gloss body with satin neck and aging toner, this OM-18 maintains a clean, classic
appearance while remaining structurally modern and stable.
